A lot of huge Blues have been around the Newport Bridge with a few big Stripers mixed in.

Not much action offshore. Skunked for shark on Coxes Ledge. No tuna on the troll. Beautiful weather at least. Just a few long, gentle rollers but the wind and seas were building in the afternoon.

Loads of bait and large schools of bustin' blues from the Green River south to Quonset and all the way east to Prudence.

After noon large blue fish were spotted outside of Wickford. A fish was being caught on just about every cast. One fisherman said, “I went home with sore arms!”

Out of Quonny breachway, a couple of schools of what looked like Albacore Tuna were spotted. May have been small Yellowfin.

West Side of the Dump. Thanks to a near nine degree temperature break, a 75lb mako was landed after a 20 minute fight. About 20 minutes later a two hour fight that ended with a 300lb mako. Also YFT around 35lbs. A handful were landed along with some small Atlantic Bonita.
